Some fans of medical drama Grey's Anatomy were shocked by the events of the eighth season finale and the episode Flight. Now the affected character speaks up and tries to calm the fans.

After the episode "Flight", the finale of the eighth season of the ABC series "Grey's Anatomy," it is clear that two characters will no longer be part of the cast of the hospital drama. Lexie Leigh's character was introduced at the end of the third season of Grey's Anatomy and its role shortly thereafter expanded with the fourth season in a starring role. At the beginning of the current eighth season of the series Leigh paused because Shonda Rhimes has given her a long career break. She wanted to spend more time in the summer with her husband, Nathan West, and their three children, ages eight, five and three years.
